Betty Willems' favorite roles are being wife of a creative, dynamic man, a loving mother to her four children, and a fond grandmother of six. She has been an elementary school teacher, writer of children's curriculum, the founding president of the Hume Lake Christian Camps' Women's Auxiliary; the first chairman of the Joyful Life Bible Class of over 1,000 women at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa and owner/manager with her husband, James E. Willems, of Maranatha Village, a large Christian retail center in Southern California. Author of the Women of the Word Bible Studies and the Psalms for Thirsty Hearts Bible Studies, she has taught women's Bible classes in both Southern California and in North Idaho.
