The author of the NIV Adventure Bible is Lawrence O. Richards. Beyond working on the NIV Adventure Bible Lawrence O. Richards has worked as an editor and writer at Scripture Press Publications; as an educator who has taught at colleges and seminaries as diverse as Wheaton, Princeton, and Talbot; and as a full-time author and speaker. The NIV Adventure Bible is actually only one of Dr. Richards more than 200 works. As well as the NIV Adventure Bible some of his other publications include Children's Ministry, Christian Education, Church Leadership, and the New International Encyclopedia of Bible Words. Furthermore, along with the NIV Adventure Bible he has worked on other specialty Bibles including the Teen Study Bible, done with his wife, Sue. Dr. Richards and his wife live in Hudson , Florida . Dr. Lawrence's excellent authorship is evident in the many side sections that are present throughout the NIV Adventure Bible.

A couple months ago I decided to buy the NIV Adventure Bible for my 9 year old niece who doesn't really like to read and doesn't like big book that don't have many pictures. Since the NIV Adventure Bible includes so many pictures and interesting sections my niece loves to flip through the Bible even if she can't focus on reading large chunks of it. I love the way that the NIV Adventure Bible presents the scripture as an adventure because this seems to help my niece be more interested in the Biblical stories. Furthermore, the NIV Adventure Bible is fairly priced which makes it even easier to buy for a young person that you love. I think that NIV Adventure Bible is a great Bible and I would recommend it for any child even if they have trouble reading large books.
I work as the Christian Ed. Coordinator at our church and I have been buying the NIV Adventure Bible for students who are entering 3rd grade for the past 8 years. The NIV Adventure Bible is really kid friendly, and includes helpful sidebar sections which are extremely helpful, both to the students and to the teachers in our elementary Sunday School classes. The NIV Adventure Bible has been great for our church and I would recommend it to any other church as well.
My 12 year old son owns the NIV Adventure Bible, and we use it for our family devotion time. Our son really enjoys the 'Lets Live It' sections of the NIV Adventure Bible because they help him to make the Bible relevant to our current world. He also enjoys the other sub-sections such as Did You Know? and Bible Times which along with other parts of the NIV Adventure Bible help him to better understand God's word. Furthermore, the brightly colored pages of the NIV Adventure Bible make it really attractive to my son. I would recommend the NIV Adventure Bible for anyone ages 8-15 and I believe their parents would like it too.
